Question BGO scintillator not reflecting photons

Hello,

I am trying to create a BGO scintillator wrapped in Aluminized mylar in Geant4 10.4. I have been using as a base the LXE example, modifying the code according to some examples I found online.

The code runs and the simulation is able to produce optical photons in the BGO, as you can see in the attached figure. However, for some reason the optical photons do not exit the crystal, nor get reflected on the inner surface: they simply disappear when the edge of the crystal is reached. I think I set correctly the material and surface properties in the detectorconstruction (attached), so I am not sure where the problem lies. Can someone help me?
