Hi,

There are two points to consider:

1. In order to have both a lens and photo-electric effect for the same particle, one of these will need to be modified and added to either gamma or opticalphoton. If this is the issue, please reply.

2. Once an electron is generated, what generates the avalanche? Do you need semiconductor physics? I'm not aware of any way to do this in Geant4. Maybe try the electromagnetic forum--I'm not sure what else to suggest.
