I working a with SPAD (single-photon avalanche diode) arrays. I am familiar with Geant4 and a big fan, and very much want to base my simulation on Geant4
I am trying to start with building a simple simulation of a photon impinged and absorbed in a Silicon SPAD (with a micro-lens collimating the light into it), then generating an avalanche to be detected. This avalanche will be read using a "TDC" (modeled as a digitizer in the analysis level).
Would someone be willing to help me with an existing example or some codes lines that can get me going?The key ingredient is the avalanche effect on the SPAD and I have no idea how to do it, and unfortunately I could not find any example online.
