In the 10.5 beta release expected June 29, there is a new example extended/optical/OpNovice2. This will print a summary of the optical processes on a surface. I tried your parameters and found all the events to be "No RINDEX". You'll want to specify the RINDEX of both volumes. The RINDEX of the surface may or may not be used, depending on the surface type.
