Hi. I have a simple geometry composed by a scintillator joined to a bar of WLS active material. Everythink works fine almost always: enabling verbose output for G4OpWLS process, I see that, sometimes, my photon gets absorbed but not emitted. I can see that because, usually, for a WLS process I get:
** Photon absorbed **
Exiting from G4OpWLS::DoIt -- NumberOfSecondaries = 1
But in those -very rare- cases I get:
** Photon absorbed **
This issue falsify the count of emitted (by scintillation) and absorbed photons. I always get less absorptions than emissions. As expected, if I disable G4OpWLS process, everything turns fine!
Looking at G4OpWLS.cc, I notice that this behaviour can occur if PostStepDoIt gets called, but the material has no WLSCOMPONENT property. However, in my DetectorConstruction class, I set WLS properties just for the WLS Bar and not for the Scintillator (which I expect not to have WLS interactions).
How can I avoid this?
Thanks in advance!
