Question Blackened walls

Forum: Processes Involving Optical Photons
Date: 29 Jan, 2018
From: Mark Chernikov <Mark Chernikov>

Hello everyone! I have a cube of crystal scintillator. Is there any way to blacken its side walls? This is necessary to avoid the entry of photons reflected from the side surface onto its far surface, where the photomultiplier is located. I understand that I can just kill this tracks. But this will not exactly correspond to the actual experiment. What could you advise me? Thank you.
