Question Problem with local time after wavelength shifting

Forum: Processes Involving Optical Photons
Date: 26 May, 2017
From: Volodymyr Rodin <Volodymyr Rodin>

Hello everyone

I have some problem with saving of correct Local Time for re-emitted photons after WLS layer.

The simulation process is shown in Geometry.gif PMT is position is shown on PMT.gif. PMT volume thickness - 3 mm

I have used the common way to obtain Local time: aStep->GetTrack()->GetLocalTime()

I adding some data txt file with saved time. There you can see that some photons have extremely small Local time (1e-5 ns), but Z coordinate of the particle vertex is the same.

PMT bottom border is at -127 mm, ZVertex of re-emitted photons are -65 mm.

I found that such unusual time appears when the photon was not detected on the border of PMT but few μm  further(txt data). Delta WLS time constant - 3 ns

I also checked that without re-emitting all is correct.

I didn't find the problem place. Can you help me, please?

Best regards,

Volodymyr
