If you code:

myMPT->AddProperty("FASTCOMPONENT", energy, SCINT, num);

it does a linear interpolation. If you code:

myMPT->AddProperty("FASTCOMPONENT", energy, SCINT, num)->SetSpline(true);

it does a spline fit between data points. Please, see the base class of G4PhysicsOrderedFreeVector

No, so long as the 'energy' and 'SCINT' inputs have the same num numbers.
