Dear GEANT4 experts,
I'm now calculating Cerenkov radiation when a relativistic electron beam passes through a radiator(SiO2). I want to know Cerenkov photons’ angular distribution under different physical processes for electron, i.e.
1. Only Cerenkov Process, no other physical processes for electron
2. Cerenkov Process and Multi-scattering for electron
3. Cerenkov Process and Multi-scattering, Ionization, and Bremsstrahlung for electron
I modify the N06 example in geant4.9.4.p02 novice examples, and find that without both Ionization and Bremsstrahlung processes, there would be no generation of Cerenkov photons.
Could anyone tell me the reason?
