Dear Peter,

Thank you for that information. It helped a lot. After playing with various variables and using polishedfrontpainted, I am now seeing a reasonable number of reflections within my crystal.

I've been trying to improve the crystal/teflon boundary in to reflect more photons. But I constantly see a large number being absorbed in the teflon, albeit now after 2 or 3 reflections from the surrounding surfaces. My reflectivity is set to {1.0... 1.0} and absorption length down to 0.

Can you give an example of how to maximise the reflective surface between two volumes (such as crystal and teflon)?

Thanks again. Alan
