Thank you Peter, I think it is now more clear. However, when defining my enveloppe, I think there will be something wrong for the lateral surfaces. Let's say I have this 1D setup

 ... Crystal1 | Reflector | Glue | Cystal2 | Glue | Reflector | Glue | Crystal3 ...

How can I define my enveloppe properly with this? Because the crystals are wrapped with reflectors (I will probably use one of the RealSurface1.0 LUT) and these reflectors are not really volumes as they don't have a thickness, there's the problem of having the same material on both sides of the G4LogicalBorderSurface. How would you define an enveloppe in that case?
