Dear all Hello, I have one question about reduce a processing time. (Actually I heard that it's hard to reduce the time it takes.) Now I'm simulating Cherenkov event. For 1 event, ~6000 photons are generated and it takes 10 minutes. Is that normal? :-) (but I need only hundreds photons which are detected by photon detector among them. However I can select them in the end of simulation...) I used Fluka for the same simulation before, and for 1000 events it took only 2~30 minutes. (of course it doesn't show me any track of rays so I here) Then with Geant, for 1000 events it'll takes around a week. Is that right? :-) Is there any way that I can reduce time takes to do this simulation? Or Geant is the program which is not for simulate large number of events? If Geant is not for large number of event then I will use Fluka for 1000 events simulation, and use Geant to see the tracks... :-)
