Question Tracking only one or a few photons?

Forum: Processes Involving Optical Photons
Date: 26 May, 2014
From: JungEun Elena Suh <JungEun Elena Suh>

Dear all,

Hello. Can I ask one question?

I have quartz radiator, and I shoot mu particle through it. So I can see the Cerenkov photons are generated. However, there are too many photons generated and they are internally reflected inside the radiator, so I cannot see the track of each photon.

Is there any solution that I can see only one or a few photons?

Thank you so much!
