Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. Everybody, who ever had to define simulation setups including scintillator tiles, optical fibres and photon detectors like SiPMs, knows that this means a significant effort. This is especially true, if you want to define complex fibre setups, be flexible in changing your setup, or simulate the influence of the SiPM's specific behaviour.
In order to make this easier, we created an extension for Geant4: GODDeSS (*G*eant4 *O*bjects for *D*etailed *De*tectors with *S*cintillators and *S*iPMs). It is a package containing some useful object classes for scintillator tiles, optical fibres and photon detectors. Originally, we started to create this package for ourselves, but maybe it can be useful for other Geant4 users as well.
