Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.
|1||0||1||no text / full text of posting|
|2||1||All||text for level 1 only / text for All postings|
Outline: Choose the depth of the posting thread, successive toggle controls provide increasing detail.
|1||2||1||2 levels / 1 level (original posting)|
|2||3||2||3 levels / 2 levels|
|3||3||All||3 levels / all levels (all postings)|
Thank you very much for your fast, clear and complete answer, it was perfectly what I needed to know.
I changed my code, I don’t have anymore the ***NoRINDEX*** message (I had forgotten to apply my surface to a logical volume).
I still have (at least) one question. Now when I run my simulation, when the photon is not absorbed, I have this message in my terminal :
$ ** Photon absorbed! **
$ Photon at Boundary!
$ thePrePV: Styrene
$ thePostPV: Aluminum front plate
$ Old Momentum Direction: (0.104349,-0.435009,-0.894359)
$ Old Polarization: (-0.194791,-0.890791,0.410546)
$ *** G4Exception : OutOfRange
$ issued by : G4MaterialPropertyVector::GetProperty()
$ Attempt to retrieve property below range !
$ *** This is just a warning message.
$ aPhotonEnergy = 2.93e-06 [MeV] PMmin = 5e-06 [MeV]
$ New Momentum Direction: (0.104349,-0.435009,0.894359)
$ New Polarization: (0.194791,0.890791,0.410546)
$ *** LobeReflection ***
$ Photon at Boundary!
$ thePrePV: Aluminum front plate
$ thePostPV: Styrene
$ *** StepTooSmall ***
The warning message is, I think, due to the energy range I use to define the ‘optical properties’ of the Aluminum material and / or surface. I am currently gathering information to correct this part.
But for the StepTooSmall message, is this an ‘error’, in the idea that I may do something to avoid getting these messages ? If so, where should I look to 'correct' this ?
Again, thank you for your time and your help.
