I don't understand this sentence. Are you saying that in PrimaryGeneratorAction you start a photon with 'x eV' but in your custom FDsimG4OpBoundaryProcess you find it has 'y eV'?

What do you get when you turn on tracking/verbose? What other processes, in previous steps, come before your boundary process? One of them must be changing the energy of the photon.

With a new version, random numbers fall differently.
