If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.

Dear Geant4 users, My program simulates NaI(Tl) crystal with gamma particle defined through GPS(focused type). When gamma hits the crystal it generates optical photons. I have disabled visualizations and made tracking verbose 0 to increase simulation speed. I'm only using stacking action to count number of optical photons generated per second. This way i obtain count rate of 12 events/second. I wish to reduce the total simulation time further so that i get a very high count rate. Is there any method to achieve a very high count rate or is this the maximum possible speed. I'm using Intel Core2 Duo processor, 4GB RAM and Linux fedora core 14.
With thanks and Regards, Cejo George
