Hi Peter, I'm simulating Cerenkov light produced from electron beam (which validated dosimetrically against measured depth doses and profile) into a water box. The photons produced by Cherenkov have an inherent polarization perpendicular to the cone's surface at production. On the other hand, the direction of the electron movement inside the water is random. So I assumed that the resulted light is randomly polarised, is this acceptable ?. I believe both the electron movement and Cerenkov light polarisation is internally implemented in Geant4(i.e the user can't change them). is this true?

Regards,
