I may misunderstood the User's guide for application Developers: "For the simple case of a perfectly smooth interface between two dielectric materials, all the user needs to provide are the refractive indices of the two materials stored in their respective G4MaterialPropertiesTable. "
So all what i did to make sure the snell law is respected in my code is providing the refractive indices of the  water and air.
However in my detector construction I included now 
G4OpticalSurface* WaterSurface = new G4OpticalSurface("WaterSurface");
	WaterSurface->SetType(dielectric_dielectric);
	WaterSurface->SetFinish(ground);
	WaterSurface->SetModel(unified);
	new G4LogicalBorderSurface("WaterSurface",
							   target,world,WaterSurface);

is this correct? this give me different results compared to the previous one. Obviously i have to verify my code but i thought simple matter like light travel from water to air is already verified in geant4. Thanks fro your help
