I have a question going into the same direction: What about the reflectivity of materials? Is it calculated from the refractive indices via the fresnel equations and is the imaginary part of the refractive index considered? If it is like this, why can I define the reflectivity itself, too? And if if define both (refractive index and reflectivity), which value is used for the reflectivity?

Best regards, Erik
