Forum: Processes Involving Optical Photons

*** StepTooSmall *** is actually - in most cases - not an error message. The step:

aTrack.GetStepLength()<=kCarTolerance/2

is the reallocation step when a optical photon reflects off a surface. There is always one such step upon reflection.

Now, your post seems to indicate that your output is nothing but such messages and always for the same pair of volumes:

thePrePV: Clad2 thePostPV: WLSFiber

Do you get other print messages as well? In normal tracking this line should be followed by other step and G4OpBoundaryProcess messages. Do you have also:

/tracking/verbose 1

set?
