Hello,

I am trying to simulate a NaI scintillator inside a Al housing. I created my simulation basing on the example N06 and it works correctly, I only have a doubt.

 I saw several people setting     G4double Reflective[num] = {1,1};

 the scintillation photons created reflects inside my crystal until they reach the window where my detector is placed (and this is correct), but the total reflectivity of the other walls makes the path of each photon too long! each photon can undergo several hundreds reflections and a simulation of 1 keV photon impacting on the scintillator takes a lot of time.

unless i am doing something really wrong, i don't think i am the only one who encountered this problem...I made some research but i can't find realistic values for reflectivity, how do geant users deal with this problem?
