I'm seeing constant number of photons per unit energy, where it is the KE the photon is generated with.

I'm not particularly concerned with the number of photons per unit length since the path length of the positron is small compared to the object it is in. I'd like to trust that the total number is correct, but I believe that is somewhat dependent on the parameter that specifies the max/average number of photons generated per step.
