Hi,

I'm trying to understand the different results achieved by modelling a surface with the glisur model or the unified model. First of all is there a recommendation concerning which model to use? Since I'm quite unexperienced with Geant4 I'm not sure but would prefer to use the unified model because it gives me more possibilities to influence the simulation. And second how can I compare if the surface I simulate by setting the values polish and sigma_alpha respectively are of the same roughness? So that I really now I'm in principle simulating the same surfaces?

I'm simulating Sapphire and Fused Quartz tiles hit by an electron beam of 3 GeV. As a results there are thousands of photons produced per event. I'd like to have a more detailed look on the reflection path the photons undergo, bevor they are detected. Unfortunately with that many photons visualization is not making much sense, is there a way of reducing the number of photons by changing the step size or the maximum beta change? Checking the numbers of reflections that each photon undergoes crashed my code due to an array problem!
