Dear Hans and Michel,

Thanks for your replies. FYI, though, the logic for Birks attenuation need not be implemented in addition and separate from what is already available in the class G4EmSaturation; specifically the methods: FindBirksCoefficient and VisibleEnergyDeposition, because G4Scintillation is already setup to allow for the Birks correction:

if it has been requested by the user with:

G4Material* fPolystyrene = new .... fPolystyrene->GetIonisation()->SetBirksConstant(0.126*mm/MeV);
