Hi Florian,

You need to count how many photons are hitting your PMT. If the PMTs have a 'photo efficiency' you need to set this too. The PMT is actually a photo-cathode a 'dielectic_metal' surface. For this surface, you need to specify a REFLECTIVITY and (if you want) an 'EFFICIENCY'.

Please, take a look at and consult the geant4/examples/extended/optical/LXe - specifically how the 'photocath_surf' is defined in and how photons are counted in (case Detection)
