Dear Chibueze,

I do not understand why you need to code anything additional to what is already coded in the LXe example. Please, see the code in ProcessHits_constStep:

http://www-geant4.kek.jp/lxr/source/examples/extended/optical/LXe/src/LXePMTSD.cc#L75

where the hits keep track of how many optical photons have struck a given PMT:

hit->IncPhotonCount(); //increment hit for the selected pmt

at:

http://www-geant4.kek.jp/lxr/source/examples/extended/optical/LXe/src/LXePMTSD.cc#L108

You can later find out by using 'GetPhotonCount' as in see:

http://www-geant4.kek.jp/lxr/source/examples/extended/optical/LXe/src/LXeEventAction.cc#L147

Hope this clarifies the code, Peter
