Question Reconstructed Depth Position

Hi all,

My G4 simulations is largely adapted from LXe example and below are two sets of position data of photoelectric interactions recorded by my simulation. The first three columns (x y z) represent the reconstructed positions from the PMTs while the last three columns (x y z) represent the energy weighted positions from the eventaction class.

My problem is that the reconstructed z- (or depth) positions (data on the third column) recorded by my 2D array of PMTs attached behind the scintillator is -8.08 (see the data below), which corresponds to my PMT placement z-position instead of positions of interaction in the scintillator which I actually want. The last three columns seems to be ok. To verify my simulation, I copied the LXe example into a different directory and modified the LXeMainVolume to contain one scintillator equipped with PMTs behind it and also got the same value for the reconstructed positions from the PMTs!

My question is if it is possible record the depth of interactions within the scintillator using the PMT reconstructed position method or not?
