Hi guys,

I've been using the geant4_9_4 beta that was released a few months ago which has the implimentation of the Martin's equation in it.

In Martin's equation, if tau_d and tau_r are the decay and rise times respectively, then there is a missing factor of ln(2), is there not? If you supply a fall time of 1.3 ns (BC-422) you don't get a 1.3 ns decay when you plot Martin's equation. However, if you plot


you will get the expected result.

Incidentally in detector geometry when defining rise and fall time you must supply tr/ln(2) and td/ln(2) to get the required result. This has caused me some pain...!

Peter, could the be updated with the factor of ln(2) so the rise and fall can be supplied instead?
