I have several questions regarding surfaces in GEANT4:
1). I read the user's manual for DETECT: with the UNIFIED model, one should be able to set a value for the "Reflection Coefficient" of the surface (which gives the probability that a transmitted photon will be reflected back into the scintillator by the precence of a diffuse reflector like paint or teflon). I read your Example N06. No value is being defined for the reflection coefficient. How do I specify it???? What value is used if not specified?
2). In the UNIFIED model one should be able to set a value for the standard deviation SIGMA of the angle between the normal to a micro-facet and the average surface normal. Again, in example N06, that value is not set, but, a finish is specified via the method "SetFinish" as "ground". What is the default SIGMA in that case? Can I change the default? How?
3). My 3rd question is very naive: in example N06 32 discreet optical photon energies are given to describe the emission spectrum of the scintillator. However, in the material propeties table defined for the optical water surface (OpWaterSurface), the 4 reflection constants and the refractive index are ONLY defined for 2 photon energies. Why are they not defined for all 32 photons??? How are those 2 photon energies chosen?
