Question One source in Vol

Forum: Medical Applications
Date: 25 Mar, 2005
From: <>

I have a volume source which is a cylinder of inner radius 0 and an
outer radius of 1 cm and a z length of 1cm also, I want to fill this
source uniformly with P-32 ions, so they can decay. I used the /gps/
commands, however, only one particle is generated in the source. I have
looked at the Radioactive examples, and can't quite figure out what I am
doing wrong. The commands I used are:

/run/verbose 2
/event/verbose 2
/tracking/verbose 2
/grdm/verbose 1
/grdm/selectVolume sourceLog //my logical volume filled with a dummy material
/gps/centre 0 20 4.5 mm
/gps/pos/shape Cylinder
/gps/pos/radius 0.5 mm
/gps/pos/halfz 0.5 mm
/gps/energy 0 keV
/gps/particle ion
/gps/ion 15 32
/run/beamOn 1000

Also, when the particle decays, my electron that is produced does not
leave the sourceLog logical volume only the anti-neutrino. I appreciate
the help.
