I have been struggling with this problem for a couple of days now to no avail: I am trying to use the hadrontherapy example to measure dose deposited in a water phantom by 200 MeV incident protons. The problem is I get an empty Dose.out file when I change the phantom, detector, and voxel sizes. Even worse, I don't get the .root file at all (even without making changes). I have read the README file for this application repeatedly, but I don't quite understand what is meant by
"This can be accomplished by setting an ad-hoc environment variable (i.e. G4ANALYSIS_USE_ROOT) to 1 (and unsetting G4ANALYSIS_USE if you have it set), adding in the code lines to create outputs with the ROOT libraries and recompiling the application."
I also don't quite understand how ('the link') changes in the phantom, detector, voxel, etc, size affects the output files in this example. I have read some conversations on this forum, but haven't yet come across one that clearly answers my queries. Don't mean to be a bother, but if you would care to explain, thank you.
I do know this might be too obvious for some of you but please bare with me, I really need help.
regards & best wishes
