I was wondering if anyone would know of any geant4 data for simulations that have been run before that have produced depth dose profiles etc. for monoenergetic photons incident on a water medium that have been benchmarked/validated.
I have just created a simulation that has a high energy (1 to 18 MeV) pencil beam (5mm wide) of monoenergetic photons incident on a water phantom that allows me to get dose calculation in 5 mm x 5mm x 5mm voxels that make up my cubic water phantom. I plan on getting depth dose profiles from these that I can use in calculations of dose in an optimization algorithm. However, I need some real data to validate my code and make sure that what I am getting is correct. The problem is that there exists no real data for high energy monoenergetic photon beams because, in principle, one cannot create a monoenergetic beam based on how photons are generated for linacs (i.e get brems spectrum due to Compton with target).
However, I know that someone, egsnrc code has previously been benchmarked however, I can see to get my hands on it and was wondering if anyone has done or knows or somewhere where I can get validated data to compare my data to.
