I am a very new user of Geant4. I am trying to obtain the Bragg Peak using proton beam incident on water. I know that there are example applications, such as TestEm7. However, unfortunately I could not view the results since I was not able to install the necessary programs (aida etc). Now my questions are :
1. Are dedx and x correct quantities to draw the curve?
2. I would like to write out the quantities that are necessary to draw the curve into a file, so that I can draw the curve using Root instead of relying on other programs. However, I am not able to write out the dedx and x into the same output file. dedx is given in RunAction, while x is given in SteppingAction. Is there a way to put them in the same file, either Runaction or SteppingAction, or any other file?
Please forgive my ignorance on the subject, and any help is appreciated.
