Dear User,
I am really not really understanding your problem and the differences you are obtaining with and without the use of the range shifters.

Can I ask you to report more details on your problem? Can you for example, show us the plots of your results? What Hadrontherapy/Geant4 version are you using? With which macro file? How many slices are affected by these *high dose values*?
