Hello, I am running Gate (Geant4 Application for Tomographic Emission). It runs a simulation for PET scanner and produces output in AScii Format. When the output file exceeds 2Gb I get an error saying "FileSize Limit Exceeded" and the program terminates. I am looking for ways to fix this problem. As of now we have figured out the following ways to do this.

1. Enable large file support while compiling Gate. As Gate uses Geant4 libraries I would like to know if geant4 supports
large files? What is the procedure to compile geant4 with large file support turned on?

2. The second method will be to edit the ascii output so as to write just the parameters we need (thus reducing the size
of output to be within 2Gb). When I looked into Gate source code I traced it back to G4DigiCollection in geant4
(But I am not really sure about this). Can somebody with an idea about geant4 software development show me what
I have to do to modify the output.
