Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.

I am new to the language of computer programming and I have been able to follow the instructions from Dr. Perl for installing Geant4 9.0 for Windows, so far. Everything has worked according to the instructions on the website until the 'Doing the Initial Build' procedure. After answering all the questions as instructed, the website indicates the following text should appear:
WARNING: the generated configuration filecan be edited if necessary! You can introduce any change to the configuration file /cygdrive/c/Geant4/geant4_9_0/.config/bin/WIN32-VC/config.sh before the final installation. To do so, use a shell escape now (e.g. !vi /cygdrive/c/Geant4/geant4_9_0/.config/bin/WIN32-VC/config.sh). Press [Enter] to start installation or use a shell escape to edit config.sh:
the only difference in my result is the directory file does not show the word "/cygdrive/" and I believe this is the reason that, after starting the compilation, I get an error which includes the text "fatal error C1083: cannot open compiler generated file" -- then it specifies the filename and says "no such file or directory". Except that I have located the file in the specified directory so I am not sure why it isn't being seen.
I've started from the beginning of the instructions twice now with the same result. I was wondering if anyone else knows something about it, something I am forgetting to do, could you let me know?
