Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.

|1||0||1||no text / full text of posting|
|2||1||All||text for level 1 only / text for All postings|
Outline: Choose the depth of the posting thread, successive toggle controls provide increasing detail.

You must have the source code of that Geant4 release dowloaded and installed; then, in your CygWin environment properly configured to use VC++ (see also the Installation Manual): - set G4SYSTEM to be WIN32-VC; - define your work directory path in G4WORKDIR; - set CLHEP_BASE_DIR to your installation of CLHEP; - set G4INSTALL to the path where the source code is placed; - set G4LIB to the path where the unpacked archive of the libraries you downloaded is located; - set any path to the downloaded data libraries; - (optionally) set G4UI_USE_WIN32 and G4VIS_USE_OPENGLWIN32. Build a G4 example or your application. Libraries for VC++8.0 are available only for the latest version 9.0.p01.
