I'm not sure if it's a typo, but the directory name for the NeutronXS data is "G4NEUTRONXS1.4", so the above path should read /usr/local/share/Geant4-10.2.2/data/G4NEUTRONXS1.4/elast1.

Could you confirm that's the case, and what the value of the G4NEUTRONXSDATA environment variable is please?
