Just copying your mail here for info (not sure why it didn't get posted here as it was sent to the correct address!):

Thanks for reply, Ben.

Here's the log files you requested.

For compiling cmake, I used "./bootstrap --prefix=/PATH/"
and for geant4 "cmake ../ -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=g++ -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=gcc"

The log files for cmake is
and for geant4

After I mailed to this mailing list, I also found that it happens with compiling ROOT as well.
So, I might submit a ticket to CMake support too.

The same problem happened during cmaking FairRoot while checking compiler. (Highlighed lines)

Thank you for your help always.

O.k., this is down to a small bug in the Geant4 cmake/Modules/Geant4MakeRules_cxx.cmake file. This tries to identify the Intel compiler by regexing for "icc/icpc" in the path to the CXX compiler. Though you're using the GNU compiler, the path to it contains a string ("ricc") that matches the regex, so CMake ends up trying to test the GNU compiler using flags for Intel, hence the error.

I've attached a patch for this, which will also be in the upcoming 10.2 release (next week).
