Question Compiling G4_10_01_p2 on Win 8.1 x64 (VS2013)

Forum: Installation and Configuration

Dear Geant4 users,

I have been trying a few days now to compile geant4 in windows 8.1 with Visual studio. First I tried VS2015 community edition but run into issues that I could not solve. I changed to VS2013 and using the a hack from this forum (where I comment out some lines in "C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\V120\Microsoft.CppCommon.targets") I managed to compile the code.

However when trying to compile some examples (basic examples) I get hundreds of linker errors looking like this:

Error 1902 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: __cdecl G4StoppingPhysics::G4StoppingPhysics(int)" (??0G4StoppingPhysics@@QEAA@H@Z) referenced in function "public: __cdecl TFTFP_BERT<class G4VModularPhysicsList>::TFTFP_BERT<class G4VModularPhysicsList>(int)" (??0?$TFTFP_BERT@VG4VModularPhysicsList@@@@QEAA@H@Z) C:\Packages\Geant4\Examples\basic-build\B2\B2a\exampleB2a.obj exampleB2a

Looking into the bin directory and the lib directory all dlls are only 25 kB and all lib files are 2 kB so something is very wrong. Im kind of stuck so happy for any help.

Kind regards, Anders
