Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.
Inline: Display the subject line only or also the text of the posting(s); for the choice "All" the "Outline" choices are switched off.
|1||0||1||no text / full text of posting|
|2||1||All||text for level 1 only / text for All postings|
Outline: Choose the depth of the posting thread, successive toggle controls provide increasing detail.
|1||2||1||2 levels / 1 level (original posting)|
|2||3||2||3 levels / 2 levels|
|3||3||All||3 levels / all levels (all postings)|
Thank you very much for your response.
I tried to follow all the steps you outlined carefully. I could configure, generate, build and then install Geant4 directories successfully. I could do the same for Example B1 build and installation. I've always paid attention to setting GEANT4_DIR correctly. Although, when I tried to execute it launching the file example.exe, it gave me the errors that you can see from the attached picture. I also tried to add the environment variables as recommended in there, for the three apparently missing datasets, but the results given by the terminal were the exact same.
Now, the only thing I can think of is the variable PATH: I first overwrote the one you suggested to the one that was initially there; after realizing about my mistake, I added the initial one back into the PATH variable as first directory name, but I am not sure whether that is correct. My PATH variable appears now as below:
Do you have the same couple of directory names? I can't really think of any other issues, since everything goes well up to the point of launching exampleB1.exe.
I've also thought about trying to build and install another example from the Geant4 directories, but I finally decided it would be better to ask you first. This appears to be a fundamental problem.
I really appreciate your further help and assistance.
