Question fresh install of Geant4.10.1 but examples fail with Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Forum: Installation and Configuration
Date: 17 Mar, 2015
From: John McFee <John McFee>

I just installed Geant 4.10.1 on my new computer running Fedora 21. I had enabled OpenGL with the -DGEANT4_USE_OPENGL_X11=ON option. The only other options in cmake were the install examples and install data. I have an 8 processor machine so I did make -j8. The installation was successful with no errors in cmake, make or make install.

I then copied and tried to compile and run example B1. It compiled without error. When I run it (./exampleB1 or ./exampleB1 run1.mac), however, I get only this single line of output:

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I have tried example B2a and B2b and get the same output.

Any help would be appreciated.
