Yes, Qt5 is not ready for the moment, and you should use Qt 4.8. We hope that all will be ready in Geant4 for including Qt5 in the 9.10 release !
Thanks Zach for this good explanation about installing Qt4.8, I have nothing to add, only not forget to switch  GEANT4_USE_QT =ON at configuration step.
