Question Symbol Lookup Error

Forum: Installation and Configuration
Date: 21 Feb, 2013
From: Zack Snyder <Zack Snyder>

Dear Geant4 Experts,

I have installed Geant4 and am attempting to run through the analysis example on a Linux machine and I am receiving the error message:

.../g4work/bin/Linux-g++/A01app: symbol lookup error: .../geant4/geant4.9.4/lib/Linux-g++/libG4vis_management.so: undefined symbol: _ZN19G4TrajectoriesModelC1Ev

My complete input for attempting to run this example, followed by the resulting output is:

$ $G4WORKDIR/bin/Linux-g++/A01app

 Geant4 version Name: geant4-09-03-patch-02    (17-September-2010)

I am hoping that someone can tell me how to resolve this issue. I am using gcc version 4.5.1 if that helps.

Thanks, Zack
