If you have patched cmake/Modules/Geant4InstallData.cmake to increase the timeout, and are using CMake 2.8.1 or higher (to get support for the timeout feature), then there's nothing you can really do other than increase the timeout further. You could try the latest CMake as newer versions include a status report of the download, so you can at least watch the progress and see if there are any problems reported there. The latest CMake versions also have slightly more robust download routines which might help. Otherwise, you'll need to download the files by hand.

Sorry I can't be more help, unfortunately whilst downloading the data is a nice feature, it's always going to be at the mercy of the exact network connection between your machine and the CERN server.
