Hi Ben,

Thanks for the excellent explanation. My scripts simply use G4INSTALL for convenience (e.g. to find the location of the G4 external data libraries directory). It will be fairly easy to go about this in a different way; I was just curious to understand the "new" value of G4INSTALL when using CMake.

The CMake system seems to offer a lot of advantages to the G4 collaboration, and I'm trying to learn as much about it as possible. Other than the minor bug with the Qt environmental variable, I've had excellent results to far. Thanks for all the hard work.
