I am trying to get Geant4 and AIDA installed and run the example TestEm12 to produce a histogram. I'm using Win7 with Cygwin and Visual C++.
I used the installation guide for the latest release of G4 and from what I could tell it worked as planned, but when I try to install OpenScientist something goes wrong. I follow the guide "AIDA, G4 under Windows" on the OS-site but when i get to the "make"-command I get the message: "GNUmakefile:19: ../../../config/architecture.gmk : No such file or directory GNUmakefile:21: ------------------/binmake.gmk: Nu such file or directory make: *** No rule to make target ..'/config/binmake.gmk' Stop"
Perhaps I have missed downloading some files? I downloaded and extracted " osc_batch-16.11-Windows_NT-ix86-cl_1310.zip".
When I compile my exe-file for TestEm12 I get the message: "/bin/sh: aida-config: command not found /bin/sh: aida-config: command not found Using global libraries ... Linking TestEm12 LINK: warning LNK4044 unrecognized option '/link ignored.' ... Done!"
It still producces an exe-file and I can run it with a macro but I don't get an outputfile. I have set the G4ANALYSIS line to true in the GNUmakefile.
I have never really used C++ and it might not be an easy fix but any help would be appreciated.
Thank you, J
