Click on the Forum title, e.g. on the "Forums by Category" page, to read a sequence of postings to the Forum and its threads all in one page. If you are only interested in one thread or the thread following a specific posting, click the thread or the posting, which takes you to a smaller page, which contains only the part you are interested in and may be easier to navigate.
Messages are "chained" if there are only replies at the first level, i.e. 1/1.html, 1/1/1.html etc. In case of "chained" messages the message number is replaced by the icon and there is no indentation.

The symptom you describe does not sound like anything specific to Geant4.
Your OpenGL setup is not one we are familiar with or able to test. While many users are successful with Ubuntu, it is not an officially supported platform, and the variation including Xming or NXclient is not something we have expertise at.
Just throwing out somewhat random solutions, some of the more obscure GL issues turn out to be cases where one needs to get the specific GL driver for ones card rather than a generic one including in the linux distribution.
This may also be a case where you're better off just using one of the file-based viewers such as HepRepFile, VRML1FILE or DAWNFILE.
