I have a similar error when trying to make the N01 example. I've followed the instructions that has on building an example. I have installed and have up to date libXpm/libXpm-devel (redhat)but I still always get this

Compiling ... Creating shared library /root/g4work/tmp/Linux-g++/exampleN01/ ... /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXmu collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [/root/g4work/tmp/Linux-g++/exampleN01/] Error 1

I've been searching the forums and google for over a week and have not found anything that helps yet.
